Jeppe Zeeberg Plays the Music of Michael Jackson is a collection of electronic avant-garde renditions of Michael Jackson hits released on Soundcloud. In June 2019, Zeeberg stated on social media:
Although I’m a firm believer that the art does not necessarily reflect the ways of the artist, I respect that this might not be the best time to release a Michael Jackson tribute album. Nevertheless I have been working on exactly that for a while, and since I can’t picture a fitting platform for the music in the future, I have decided to stop working on the project and “release” what I have done so far - here, now, for free. So that the music won’t be wasted.
Even though this is a purely electronic album, every single note is written down. The music is “played” by MIDI musicians from real sheet music. Although I don’t usually work this way, the music was always supposed to sound like this, and it could never be played by real human beings.
